FileZilla lässt sich wunderbar als portable Version betreiben, z.B. fix und fertig eingerichtet mit allen Konten und Zugangsdaten auf einem USB-Stick zum Mitnehmen. So richtet man die portable Version ein:

- Download des Zip-Archives von http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client und Entpacken in ein eigenes Verzeichnis.
- Anlegen eines Unterverzeichnisses "settings" im neuen Programmverzeichnis
- Anlegen einer Datei "fzdefaults.xml" im neuen Programmverzeichnis mit diesesm Inhalt:

<Settings>
<Setting name="Config Location">settings/</Setting>
</Settings>
</FileZilla3>

Dies veranlasst Filezilla, die Einstellungen zu speichern in einem Unterordner "settings" im Anwendungsverzeichnis. Starte die Anwendung FileZilla.exe

Vielleicht ist es überflüssig zu erwähnen, aber wenn man solcherart mit seinen Daten auf dem Stick unterwegs ist, sollte dieser gegen unberechtigten Zugriff geschützt sein.

Filezilla ist super, aber wenn es doch nur endlich mal dragndrop vom desktop in den ftp erlauben würde. Das wär fein.
