I see this come up a lot of the time, so I thought I’d make a post to address it.
Waterfox is basically a 64-Bit version of Firefox. The Firefox source code is taken and compiled to run specifically for 64-Bit Windows computers. To make Waterfox stand out a bit more, it’s compiled with optimizations so that it will run more efficiently and faster than just compiling Firefox as a 64-Bit program.
Waterfox was compiled with SSE, SSE2, x64 favoring and the following optimisation flags: /Og /Oi /Ot /Oy /Ob2 /Gs /GF /Gy

Wer ihn auf deutsch nutzen will, noch diesen Hinweis:

1. about:config --> general.useragent.locale --> de-DE
2. die Deutsche Sprachdatei herunter laden und einfach auf den Waterfox ziehen und Neu starten.
3. Fertig!!!

Habe ihn gerade getestet mit einem bestehenden Profil und er kann das, was ich mir bei Pale Moon gewunschen habe bzw. nicht konnte. Pale Moon war in etlichen Dingen nicht so kompatible, der hier schon.

Remove limitations for Windows XP/Vista users. Built targetting SUBSYSTEM:5.02 (Windows XP quits immediately on start, probably due to unsupported features on XP. Vista runs fine with various features disabled)
Use built in OS location services. This will require permissions from your OS, which should ask when Waterfox tries to utilise the API (tested on Windows 7+ and macOS, will get MLS API key as well for unsupported systems)
Fixed add-on corruption issue on add-ons with no manifest ID
macOS builds are now available
