Rundenbasiertes Strategiespiel mit modifizierter Quake2 Engine. Multiplayer-Modus via LAN oder Internet.
'UFO: Alien Invasion' is heavily inspired by the 'X-COM' series by Mythos and Microprose. The first game of the series, 'UFO DEFENSE', became a classic and, in our honest opinion, is one of the best games ever made.
'UFO: Alien Invasion' is neither a sequel nor a remake of 'UFO DEFENSE' - we simply had the urge to create a similar strategy game, which will hopefully be as entertaining as the original was for the players (and for the developers, of course ;) ).

Wobei man im Forum noch die inoffiziellen Patches installieren sollte. Bringt zwar neue Bugs entfernt aber auch viele lästige. Das wichtigste jedoch...der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist endlich halbwegs erträglich.

ist mir das doch etwas zu gross, es einfach mal runterzuziehen (Volumen-Flat).

hab RC3 damals getestet...Gegner warn zu stark und Spiel noch ziemlich verbuggt. hat sich aber wie ich gehört habe schon zum besseren geändert(hoffe ich)

Das spiel ist schon ziemlich reif, keine abstürze bei mir, sehr gut gelungen. Damals hab ich auf dem ZX Spectrum oft Laser Squad gespielt, oh und jetzt das gleiche spiel mit solcher grafik :-)

The UFO:AI development team is proud to announce the release of UFO: Alien Invasion Version 2.1. This version features many great improvements over 2.0 and tons of new content, such as new aliens, new weapons, new maps, new base facilities, new research options and better multiplayer support. Many of the bugs that plagued version 2.0 have been eliminated.

As the main task in 2.1, the UFOpaedia has been filled and expanded with hundreds of new and detailed texts containing full equipment descriptions, the history of the world since 2007, more information about the start of the invasion, and tons of other background flavour. The research system and UFOpaedia display have been overhauled to take full advantage of the new texts.

UFO:AI 2.1 also gives players the first glimpses of the upcoming campaign storyline which we will be implementing fully over the next few versions.
